Question 1

How much does it cost to rent the Van Rysel GRVL AF 1x8v in Mallorca?

Accepted Answer

Renting the Van Rysel GRVL AF 1x8v in Mallorca starts from €45 per day at Rent Bike Formentor. The exact rate depends on rental length and any add-ons (helmet, bottle cage, GPS mount). Ride Out Club applies no markup, you pay the same price you would by booking directly with the shop. Final price is shown on the bike's page above before you submit a booking request.

Question 2

Where do I pick up the Van Rysel GRVL AF 1x8v?

Accepted Answer

Pickup is at Rent Bike Formentor in Port de Pollença. The shop will confirm the exact pickup time, address, and any meet-up details after they accept your booking. Most shops are happy to accommodate flexible pickup windows for travelling cyclists, including early-morning slots if you arrive on a flight that lands the same day.

Question 3

How does booking a bike on Ride Out Club work?

Accepted Answer

You submit a booking request directly through the bike's page on Ride Out Club. The rental shop confirms availability within 24 to 48 hours, then you pick up the bike on your arrival date and pay the shop directly. Each shop sets its own cancellation policy, which is shown on your booking confirmation. Ride Out Club itself does not add markup: you pay the same price you would by walking into the shop in person.

Question 4

Can I bring my own pedals or saddle for a rental bike?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Most cyclists who travel for a week or more bring their own saddle (saddle fit is highly personal and rentals come with the manufacturer-stock seat). Bringing pedals is also common, especially if you ride power-meter pedals or a specific cleat system. Tell the shop at pickup; they will swap your parts onto the bike at no extra cost in most cases. Bringing pedals + saddle in your hand luggage is a small effort that makes a multi-day rental feel like your own bike.

Question 5

What happens if the bike gets damaged or stolen during my rental?

Accepted Answer

Each rental shop has its own damage and theft policy, which is shown on the booking confirmation. Most shops take a refundable deposit at pickup (typically €100 to €500 depending on bike value), cover normal wear and tear, and hold the renter responsible for major damage caused by accident or negligence. Theft of an unlocked bike is generally the renter's responsibility. Some shops offer optional damage-protection or insurance add-ons. Always read the shop's terms before booking, and lock the bike securely whenever it is unattended.

Question 6

Do I need to bring my own helmet?

Accepted Answer

Many partner shops include a free helmet rental, others charge a small fee (typically €5 to €10 for the rental period). The shop's helmet policy is listed on the bike's page in the rental terms. You can also bring your own helmet, which most cyclists prefer for fit and personal hygiene reasons. Helmet use is mandatory for cyclists under 16 in Spain and recommended for adults across all European cycling destinations.
